I think basically, nade detox is lemon water detox or Master Cleanse Diet. You can’t eat or drinks anything other than this and water in the full version. They suggest you to do the full version for 7-10 days minimum, and maximal 14 days. In Nade Detox, they also offered you with the relax version. Which is, you still can eat something once a day that’s healthy and drink the mixture water for the rest of it, but you have to do it longer, up to 1 months. While doing this program they also stated that you must refrain from caffeine, tobacco, alcohols and any other supplement. You can also having symptoms while doing this, such as vomiting, nausea, diarrhea and feeling cold. They say, it’s normal for you to experience it during your detox period.
What intrigue me the most to finally eager to try this program is what they stated in their instagram. As written,
“NADE DETOX Program is a journey to happiness and an improved lifestyle. It is natural, simple, and effective program which help you rejuvenate, revitalize and improve the quality of your life. NADE DETOX Program is for anyone who feels the need to take more conscious of their life. It is a commitment towards bringing out the best in ourselves; towards exploring our potential and living life to the full.”
I think of this as an initiation, to motivate me back to more healthy diet and life style, to decreased my caffeine, sugar and junk food consumption. When you sign to the program, and order their package, you will receive all the ingredients except for lemon and water. The packaged will consist of a bottle of natural tree syrup (which is basically organic maple syrup), jaggery sugar, sea salt, cayenne paper, evening tea, and tea time. Also a booklet that will explain the recipe and how to do this detox.
On the first day, I still don’t know what I get myself in to. What the drink would taste like. So, to make me want to keep doing this I skipped adding the cayenne paper to the mixture. I also not drinking the sea salt water. (Oops..) First day went off really fast. My energy level still good. I’m not feeling any symptom, and the best thing is I’m not having a mood swing, which I often feel when I skipped my meal.
Second day, i tried drink the sea salt mixture (can’t take it all.. I’m only finish half of it) and put the cayenne paper to the mixture, because actually, cayenne paper can boost our metabolism so it help with weight loss. However, I can’t drink it. I have chronic tonsillitis and I feel that adding cayenne paper to the mixture makes my throat sore. In the end of second day, I knew I was slightly dehydrated cause I only finish half of my drink.
Third day, it went really well. Skip adding cayenne paper, and managed to drink it all. But, I started to cravings food even though I’m not hungry.
Fourth day and so on, was the hardest cause I really want to eat something. This is where your determination is tested.
The day after you finish your program, they suggest you to take easy on what you eat. Begin with something soft like porridge or soup for the next 3 days.
Overall, it’s not that bad. I managed to keep my sanity ’till the very last day. The only symptom I feel was I easily drench in sweat while doing daily normal activities. Strangely, this detox didn’t makes me feel nausea or trigger my dyspepsia. I lose 3.5 kg in 7 days. Post this detox I feel that I’m not cravings sweet and salty food that often, I can control my caffeine intake better and I’m better at controlling my portion.
Few tips for you who wants to try this diet,
- Drink every 2-3 hours. I think this is the most important tips to make sure your body well hydrated and you get some calories.
- Don’t forget to drink water between the mixture.
- Don’t push yourself too hard, rest when you think you need it.
- Don’t look at food!! Haha! It will just make this detox harder.
So, I think this diet will be suitable for you who need a quick weight loss solution for special occasion. This can’t be a long term diet program. You only get 600-700 calories a day during this detox, so don’t do it longer that its suggest. If you have any question, feel free to post a comment in the comment section below.
Have a happy and healthy live.
